Playdates!

Lately we have been trying to squeeze in as many playdates as possible, knowing that we are now only days away from Gabe's arrival...and our move South. Next to our neighbor Sophie, Bennett & Ryan are two of Kate's closest friends, and ones she will miss so much!

Well, she did eventually convince him to give it a try...moments later he was crying and his mommy had to squeeze through the tubes to rescue him! Oops!

Meeting Miss Ava

While out of town last week visiting Jon and my family, our neighbor Sherry had her baby! Of course, getting back in town, meeting tiny Miss Ava Bay was our number one priority! She is beautiful, and mommy, baby, and big sister Sophia are all doing fine and adjusting to their new addition! While visiting today, Ava slept most of the time, Kate and Sophie played and danced, and Sherry and I were able to visit. We had a wonderful afternoon!

We decided to come home to our "soon-to-be" home for one last time before Gabe is born. I went back and forth on this decision because I hate losing any time with friends in Atlanta since we have so little time left. But, I know Kate misses her Daddy and it's nice to have a little help now that I look and feel like Shamu! :) Actually, Kate and I have had a wonderful summer filled with lots of "girls only" time but of course we like having Daddy around too!

Happy 2nd Birthday Sophie!

It's funny to think that just one year ago we first met Sophie....at her 1st birthday party! I had noticed Sherry & Sophie since we moved in next door to them, then were suprised by an invitation in our mailbox to Sophie's party. We didn't even know their names yet! We walked next door, met the whole extended family, and have been great friends ever since! I really don't think I could have picked more perfect neighbors! We are going to miss you so much McC Family! But, before Gabe arrives and as our moving date nears, we get one more time to celebrate together! (Though hopefully we can still come back for lots of visits!) Today is Sophie's party day at the park! We had lots of fun playing with friends and eating yummy cake!

There is one thing that's certain, Kate LOVES her "Ma!" And now that she and I are home alone, we make sure to call Daddy, "Ma," and PawPaw every night! But, Kate is a busy little lady with little time to just sit and talk. So, we swing and talk to Grandma!
