It's a new day in Atlanta and time for lots more big city fun!
We began by walking across downtown again, touring a bit of Centennial Olympic Park,
and ultimately making our way to the Georgia Aquarium.

The kids loved all the fish and especially the many portholes
they could crawl into for a closer look.
The beluga whale was playing with a toy while we were watching (red thing above it's head)
Another tunnel to crawl through and find a port hole!
These penguins were so active!
Then, the shocker. See the penguin just to the left of the kids??
He is on top of the female mating!
Once they were finished they stood embracing for about 5 minutes...
So many things to see...big and small!
The kids were amazed by the water tunnel and the divers cleaning the windows.

And finally, a wall of snow!
We left the aquarium and felt there was one important thing the kids needed to experience
to be able to say they lived the big city life for the weekend: mass transportation!
The first thing we discovered is that Atlanta has added a street car track that circles downtown!
And better still....it's free!
I had actually never seen one of these before so we were all excited!
We met some interesting guys on the journey who aspire to one day make it onto the set
of The Walking Dead and eventually hit it big time in the movies. Good luck boys!
Next up, the Marta!
I must admit I was a little nervous taking the kids on the Marta.
I never felt safe on this when it was just me, and was even more nervous taking kids!
The first thing we had to do was figure out how to buy a Marta card and get through the gates.
This was more complicated than it seemed....
And this guy was working for Marta and thought I was crazy taking so many pictures.
But, he was humored by us crazy tourists and even posed for a picture.
But, they were SO excited about going underground to catch a "train!"
Here comes the Marta!!!
We had one final outing planned for our weekend in Atlanta:
Braves Baseball with Dave & Bonnie!
Grant was being unusually fussy entering the stadium.
I knew he was probably tired from the busy weekend, but I was getting frustrated too.
Then once we found our seats he had just had enough and out his head down....and that's when I felt his head and knew he was one sick little boy! :( He was suddenly running a high fever and just minutes after this pictures threw up. Thankfully we made it out of the row of seats and to a nearby trashcan just in time. I think this baby has picked up strep throat. :(
That said, the game must go on.
Grant and I went to the nurses station in hopes of getting some meds to bring down his fever....no luck.
All they had was adult medicine. But, they were really sweet and gave him juice and water
and allowed us to sit in there to cool down as long as needed.
In the meantime, the rest of the family enjoyed the baseball game.
Kate made the jumbotron!!!
The game was fun, I just wish Grant had felt better.
And the best part....the Braves won!!!
