Spring Break - Day 1

It's Spring Break....so where else would we go but Disney World!!!?!

Our first stop was to get settled at the condo and check out the pools and playground.

As soon as we we got everything sorted we headed over to the Magic Kingdom just in time for the new "Festival of Fantasy" parade!  The floats were beautiful as always!

Our favorite friends:  Mickey, Minnie & the gang plus Anna, Elsa, & Olaf!

Shortly after the parade we met us with friends in Tomorrowland!

Then we all headed to The Pirates of the Caribbean!

I loved the girls faces going down the little water fall....especially funny since in reality the girls are the tough ones and the boys are much more nervous of adventure. 

The tea cups....a must every trip!

I usually skip the water rides, but this time the kids convinced me to join them....

We intended to play in the Casey Jr water area earlier today while the sun was still out, but time escaped us and the kids weren't leaving without getting soaked!

They were freezing once wet,

but Grant loves Dumbo so we had to take a ride on the Big Top...

Frogs and Fun

 Kate has always loved frogs, but only very recently has Gabe braved picking them up.

They were excited to find this little guy hiding near their toys this afternoon....

Grant would have held him too, but I was afraid he would squeeze it to death.  :/

The kids have also been working very hard on building up their strength to cross the monkey bars!

Mickey Water

I got excited when I was searching the internet for party ideas and came across these awesome Mickey water bottles.  I was further thrilled to learn that these were available from Amazon.com, so I ordered some right away!  Well, a week later my boxes arrived, but inside were water bottles with labels from the new movie Disney Planes.  I was disappointed but Amazon customer service was great as always and said they would immediately ship out new cases of water.  Another week went by and my boxes finally arrived...with more water with planes on them!  This time I decided to search for the phone number for the water company.  I was surprised to actually speak to someone and she was quick to apologize, but sadly said that they had just forgotten to change the pictures on Amazon....the Mickey designs aren't available right now.  She told me I might be in luck though because they happened to have a special order from Sam's Club in Florida, she took my name and address, and I decided to just move forward with other party planning.  The party came and went and with the venue change we weren't allowed to bring in drinks anyway.

Fast forward to today...  We looked outside our front door and happened to see a big box sitting by the front door.  We weren't expecting a package, so we were all curious to see what was inside.  I couldn't believe it, inside the box was three cases of Mickey water!!  Thank you SO much Aqua Ball!!!  You guys went way above and beyond to provide excellent customer service!!

Being Silly

It's past time for Grant to get rid of his pacifier, but it's certainly past time for Kate!!

Babysitting Jack

I got a call yesterday from a friend asking if there was any way I could babysit a little boy for one of her friends.  Grant & I didn't have any plans for today so I thought it might be fun. I wasn't sure how Grant would do with sharing, because he is not used to being around kids his own age at our house, but I was willing to give it a try to help out for a day.  It took the boys a little bit of time to warm up, but then they ended up having a great time playing in the backyard!

And when Kate & Gabe got home from school, the kids enjoyed a fun bike ride around the neighborhood!!

Giddy-up Daddy

Sometimes when Daddy gets home from work the kids just need a ride.....and sometimes he gives in!  :)

Gabe loses Tooth #2

Gabe finally lost his second tooth!  I was beginning to get a little concerned because his permanent tooth has been growing in behind his baby tooth for a while.  As you can sort of see in this picture, it is set back a good bit and crooked.  :/  I called the dentist though and the have assured me this sometimes happens and that with the baby tooth out now his permanent will slowly move into place....let's hope!

The next morning a very sleepy Gabe was excited to see what the Tooth Fairy brought.

Too bad she can't also make sure that kids don't lose teeth on school nights when they have to wake up soooo early!

Barbaritos

After church today we decided to have lunch at Barbaritos, where they have a kids area with giant chalkboards.

The kids were very proud of their art creations today.  :)

Annie

I always love the musicals Oliver Twist and Annie growing up.  In fact, they are still my favorites and I try hard to convince my kids they are the best!  But, with SO many more competing tv options for them, they aren't in love like I was.  Even still, I like to expose them to these amazing classics as often as I can.  Our high school drama department was putting on the play "Annie," so I knew it was time for a Mommy/Daughter date night!!!  The school did a great job and we loved the show!

After the show we got to meet a few of the main characters!!
