Halloween Photo Shoot

I love pictures of my kids...and I take thousands...as if that wasn't obvious from my blog. :)

I feel like I do a decent job, or at least good enough to serve the purpose of capturing moments and memories. But when it comes to staged photos or holidays, I like to leave that to the professionals. Not only will the quality be superior, but trying to pose, bribe, threaten :), and take pics of three kids and have them all looking and smiling at the camera at the same time is no small feat! So if I can do all the bribing and crazy faces for smiles and attention and leave the picture taking to someone else, I have a much better likelihood of getting great shots. But there are those moments when I decide I am up for a challenge... With Kate and Gabe I can pretty much promise them $1 and they will be perfect. Grant, on the other hand, I can promise him the whole candy store and it just might not matter! I decided, however, that before I spent the money on a pro I would at least try to get a great shot of the kids together in their Halloween costumes. I owe these kids big time. They did awesome!!!! I was so impressed with how happy and cooperative they were today! So without further ado, here are the pictures!

Something tells me that safety patrol Gabe will always

be chasing after and reigning in his wild, crazy, and funny little brother.

Trick-or-Treat

Once finished at Publix, we headed over to Grandma & PawPaw's house for dinner and then to Trick or Treat!

Grandma made special Jack-O-Lantern pizza for dinner.

Grant was still napping when we arrived,

so he got some special snuggle time with PawPaw!

The kids ate as fast as the could because across the street lots of their friends were beginning to gather

for the annual hayride through Osprey Cove! I did convince the kids to take one picture though before running off to play.

After playing a while it was time to walk around

the cul-de-sac for their first candy of the night!

Grant was still a little sleepy but he does love candy!

Now that everyone has arrived....it's time for the hayride!

I didn't get everyone in this picture, but I tried.

Just before heading out we ran into Gabe's best friend Jack Jack.

All on board....let's go get candy!

The first official stop is always at Ava & Bryce's house for a group picture.

Grant didn't make it in time for the picture though...we were in the golf cart following the hayride.

He did, however, make it in time for candy!

We had lots of fun Trick-or Treating with our friends, but since Grant couldn't keep up with his big brother and sister, I decided after the first hour that we would say goodbye to the hayride and spend the last hour as a family. I felt like I was missing out on Halloween with Kate and Gabe because they were always several houses ahead of us! :)

And as long as they could still get lots of candy,

Kate and Gabe didn't mind spending the evening with their little brother.

Of course Grant really only needed Grandma & PawPaw to be happy...

Grant literally bounced from house to house...holding hands or own his own. Maybe I should have dressed him as Tigger this year!

Let's go Trick-or-Treat!!!

Grant got away with handfuls of candy at every house....but how could anyone resist such a cute little clown! He would just reach in their bowls and grab as much as he could....this might just be his new favorite holiday!

We had so much fun tonight and the weather was so nice.

Publix Halloween

I had no idea that you could Trick or Treat at Publix, but I found out about it a few days ago and it sounded like fun. Once inside we found treat stations and game booths set up in every depeartment. It was great!

Unfortunately Grant was napping,

but he needs his rest to be up for all the fun tonight!
