Mom's Night Out

Tonight we said goodbye to our babies & husbands and headed out for a night of fun! 1st Stop: PUBLIX! I have been wanting to do this for a while now and finally did...."make-ahead meals." Any mom of little ones can understand how difficult it is some nights to cook dinner when you have one or two kids hanging on your legs. So, Publix has made this a little easier for us with "Aprons."

The kitchen ladies explained the process then pointed us to the yummy appetizers!

After Publix we went to this incredibly cool restaurant: Clark's Fish Camp!

Ladies, I had sooo much fun! Lets do this again sometime!!!

A Day With Disney

Being so close to the most magical place on earth (and thanks to a great deal we got through Jon's parents being timeshare owners with Wyndham), we decided to pack our bags and head to Orlando for the weekend! And this trip, the weather was perfect and the kids weren't sick!

Orlando - Day 1

We began our day by heading to the outdoor, "heated", pool. Kate & Jon had a great time, but minutes after Gabe & I got in we were both freezing! The water wasn't cold, but heated wouldn't be the word I would use either....especially since it was only about 65 degrees outside at this point. So, we hopped in, I took this picture, then Gabe began to shake from head to toe so he and I were eager to get out and dry off!

Next stop - lunch! We didn't eat at Chuck E Cheese, but he was on the sidewalk spraying silly string towards the cars so Kate wanted to walk over for a visit.

Several hours later...time to eat again! We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and had a picnic by the pool. I used my timer for the first picture but didn't get Gabe lifted up in time to be seen. So, I took a picture of him alone to prove he was really there.

Day 2

Disney's Hollywood Studios

Once I realized that this park didn't have many areas for the kids to get out of the stroller and MOVE (something our kids do/need about as much as air!), I was a little nervous. But, they were amazing! Kate especially enjoyed all the shows and even Gabe was able to mostly sit still and enjoy everything. Here are pictures from a few of our favorites.

The afternoon parade! Kate loved all the characters (even though she isn't very familiar with Pixar films yet) and got LOTS of attention from cast members in the parade! I tried to get pictures of all her visitors but didn't because I kept being pushed back behind the 'gold line' by a very attentive parade guard! But, Jon caught it all on video of course.

And finally, thanks to the Rider Switch Pass, Jon & I were able to take turns riding the Tower of Terror and the Rockin' Roller Coaster!

The Greatest Show on Earth!

Thanks to PawPaw & Grandma, we got to experience "Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey." I have been to many circuses, but wow, this show was truly incredible! And you know something is good when it lasts almost 2 hours and my kids sit still!!! That alone is amazing!









This year's show is called "Zing, Zang, Zoom!" Kate is following the clowns and screaming the magic words while Gabe just wanted to look cute and pose for PawPaw! :)

Every part of this show was incredible, but one of my personal favorites were the elephants.

(I just hope they aren't mean to them like the protestors all claim!)

After the show we stopped for a few photos before heading home.

Ice Castle again....

It was going to get cold again last night so Jon braved the freezing wind and headed out to set up the sprinklers for one more ice castle for the kids! Thanks daddy!!!

And when we woke up, this is what we found!

And this time, PawPaw & Grandma came over to see our ICE!

Gabe loves ICE....even fresh from the tree!

The kids were freezing, but had so much fun eating icicles and playing inside their ice castle.
