Camp Physical

Went to our pediatrician for a signature on camp release forms for the kids but found out that just a signature based on 2015 well check info would cost the same as a full sports physical at the walk-in clinic... Little did I know that this physical would include magic tricks and comedy! So thankful for Amelia Medical Center and their awesome staff! Now we're all set for camp in July!

Disney - Day 7 - Magic Kingdom

It's our last full day in Orlando and we are spending the first half of it at the Magic Kingdom.

We took the boat over from the campground for a few final hours of fun.

Grant on Thunder Mountain.

This kid is SO happy to finally start getting tall enough for the big kid rides!!

Casey's Splash Station

Where else would you go on a hot summer day?!?

 One final trip on Goofy's Barnstormer.

This may be considered a little kid ride, but it's a wild one!

Kate and Gabe got a very special treat aboard the Magic Kingdom Railroad.

These two mouseketeers were selected to be Junior Conductors for the trip!

Not quite tall enough yet for Space Mountain, we said goodbye to Daddy, Kate, & Gabe and headed off on one of Grant's favorite rides, the People Mover!

Loving the new interaction attached to the magic bands....kind of creepy too...but amazing technology.

One last treat before heading back to the campground.

We got back to our tent, switched in to swim suits, and finished out the night at the pool.

Grant met a friend this week who was camping next to us.  Then he hung as long as he could before passing out at the pool.  Sweet Disney dreams little muffin!

Disney - Day 6 - Animal Kingdom

 Another day...another park.  Today we are back inside Animal Kingdom for a very big day. Today is the first day ever for Animal Kingdom to be opened to the public after dark!!  We are very excited to get to experience this beautiful park at night.

Almost as exciting as seeing characters walking down the street

is seeing our friend Dave coming to meet us on his lunch break! 

As we headed toward the front of the park for barbecue, Gabe was picked to be the first ever park guest at Animal Kingdom to try their new cheeseburger eggroll and fudge nut brownie....they called it his Magical Moment! Too bad he won't eat beef or nuts. Lol! Oh well, the rest of us will enjoy his free magical moment. 

After lunch we headed to the birds...

I actually got picked from the crowd to come on stage with the handlers, was told to have my camera ready, and got the amazing opportunity of having this beautiful owl fly inches over my head!

The show ended with another spectacular bird, the bald eagle.

It was starting to get hot so it was time to cool down at the playground.

These two are two peas in a pod!!

Bonnie joined us once Dave got off work for lots more delightful Disney fun!

The kids were NOT happy when Dave beat them and won the stuffed animal they hoped for,

but he won back their affection by giving his prizes to them.  :)

The safari is always fun, but today these animals were all on the move!

And now, the reason we are here today...

First night for Animal Kingdom to be open past 7pm.....experiencing the new show "The Jungle Book," a sunset safari, riding Everest and Kali River Rapids in the dark, and watching the Tree of Life actually come to life.....incredible night!

Disney - Day 5 - Hollywood Studios

Tent living is fun, but the morning are quite steamy trying to get ready for the day while simultaneously sweating!  But, we are having a blast!  We began our morning at the Trail's End restaurant for an amazing breakfast buffet complete with a super sweet waitress, and then headed over to Hollywood Studios!

The kids appease me by agreeing to character meet and greets.

This was our first time meeting Olaf...he especially loved Kate's pink hair.

We headed over to the Tower of Terror next.  I talked Grant into going on it, but that didn't last long.

Here he is trying to smile through tears as we take the employee elevator back down....he wanted no part of the Tower of Terror today!

Now we have real smiles from Grant....Star Tours!

We ended our day at Hollywood Studios a little early to enjoy some fun and games at our campsite.

 We also enjoyed a delicious cookout and some afternoon coffee.  :D

Since Jon missed out on the campfire fun earlier this week, we went back for another night at the sing-a-long with Chip and Dale!  Perfect ending to another fun Disney day....
