Whittling Chip

Gabe is earning his whittling stick tonight at Cub Scouts.

The boys learned proper knife handling, safety, and then practiced carving using Dove soap.

After learning to carve, the boys worked on an elective

and began making bags for marbles and then learned the rules of the game.

Knock Knees

Kate has a condition called "knock knees" where her knees turn inward.

This makes it impossible for her to stand with her legs straight, so the pediatrician has recommended physical therapy.

Learning to do proper squats.....physical therapy isn't exactly fun.

Happy Apple - Day 2

Because I'm "that mom" who loves lots of pictures, and since I don't have my own class today, I decided to follow Grant to class this morning!  :)  I didn't stay very long, but it was fun seeing him with his sweet class full of friends who he has missed so much this summer.

First Day of Happy Apple

 It's a Happy Apple Day.....It's a Happy Apple Day.... Grant is ready for his first day of school as a Green Apple! Let's hope Mrs Laurie Lentz is just as ready!  :D. Happy 1st Day Happy Apple Academy friends!

Now....back to how our day began.

My sleepy boy was excited for his special "Back to School Breakfast."

Kate & Gabe got to enjoy another special breakfast too.

We made it to school extra early...in time for pictures,

plus I had to set up my own classroom!

I am excited for Grant to get to know her better this year and can't wait to see all that he learns.

I can already tell from Day 1 that it's going to be another great year!

We met Grandma, PawPaw, and Grammy at the frozen yogurt shop

after school to celebrate a successful 1st day!

Pre-K....it's almost hard for me to say! My baby is in pre-K this year! Grant had a fantastic first day of school today. Thank you to his teacher Mrs. Lentz and all the other amazing teachers at Happy Apple who make this preschool such a special place. It really is one of a kind and certainly holds a special place in our family's heart. And not only did Grant have an amazing Green Apple day, but I too had an excellent first day with my precious new group of Yellow Apples! We are looking forward to all that this new year has in store....

Happy Apple Open House

It's an exciting day for Grant...it's Happy Apple Open House!

My little Green Apple got to meet his teacher, explore his new classroom, and see lots of friends tonight! We can't wait for school to start on Monday!

I can't believe my baby is in pre-K!  It seems like just yesterday he was beginning this Happy Apple journey as a 2 1/2 year old Yellow Apple. 

Grant is a Green Apple!

 We love Mrs. Lentz and are so excited for the year Grant is going to have with her.

Gabe was a Green Apple four years ago too!

Of course the whole family had to tag along for such an exciting occasion!

Kate and Gabe even had fun playing in the Green Market.  :)

And in other news, I'm excited to be starting out another year

with a new group of sweet Yellow Apples!
